NASW-SC Webinar: From Uncertainty to Confidence: Managing Suicide Risk in Outpatient Psychotherapy

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Translate a positive suicide disclosure into determination of risk and treatment plan.

2. List 3 high-impact, low–time commitment actions that reduce suicide risk.

3. Identify elements of both a brief suicide safety screening and a comprehensive assessment. 

4. Apply suicide-focused treatments to address passive and non-acute active suicidality in outpatient care.

Speaker: Kim Menzel, LCSW, ACSW

CE: 1.5 social work hours. This training will count toward the required one hour CE of suicide prevention for South Carolina social workers. Proof of attendance for CE will be distributed via email within one week after the event.
