This webinar will include a virtual didactic presentation exploring common misconceptions of neurodivergence and key challenges facing social workers and other health care providers, followed by interactive activities and discussion.

Speakers:

Margaret Janse van Rensburg, Ph.D., MSW, RSW,  is an Assistant Professor in the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. Margaret co-leads the Autism, Family, and Communities Lab with Dr. Robert Hock, which supports research on autism and neurodiversity at the University of South Carolina as part of the Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopment Research Center. Margaret’s current projects focus on autism and menopause, community-engaged autism and neurodivergence research, disability, neurodiversity, and inclusive social work education. 

Resia Cooper, LMSW, PHD Student

CE: 1 social work hour. Proof of attendance for CE will be distributed via email within one week after the event.
