According to the American Childhood Cancer Organization, more than 300,000 children up to age 19 worldwide are diagnosed annually with cancer. The Board of Social Work Examiners reviews applicants' credentials and licenses social workers in the state. The board licenses three levels of social workers: (1) licensed baccalaureate social workers; (2) licensed master social workers; and (3) licensed independent social workers, in clinical practice or advanced practice.
